The setting in the book is mostly in the factory owned by Willy Wonka.
The factory is in England. There are many rooms, at leased 100 rooms. the Rooms are very colorfull and they have lots of candy (because it's a chocolate factory). To get to another room you have to use an elevator because the factory is huge.
Another place that the story takes place in is Charlie's (the main character) house.
the house is very small and there isn't much room for the whole family. Charlie is the only child in the family but there are a lot of people that live in his house (Mr. & Mrs. Bucket, Charlie, Mr. Bucket's parents and Mrs. Bucket's parents).
Charlie has is own room. His room is in the top floor and he has o hole in the roof so he can look at the sky before he goes to bed. All four of Charlie's grandparents sleep in the same bed that is in the living room.
Charlie is mostly in the living room, eating or watching t.v. with his family.
The most important places in the book are the chocolate factory, Charlie's house and the store that Charlie bought the chocolate bar with the golden ticket inside.
The store is important in the story because Charlie bought the winning ticket that led him to the factory. Without the store he wouldn't of bought the last (and very rare) ticket.
The factory is important for the story because that is were the story is mostly set. Charlie goes to the chocolate factory and stayed the last one there. The prize for the person that remains last is Willy Wonka's factory.
